While this museum is small, is it not one to miss when visiting the area. The staff of volunteers are all so knowledgeable on the equipment and history. In the visitor's center, there are small activities for children (and fun adults) to take part in such as coloring, learning morse code, and trains. The restored caboose that sits outside is a sight to see and explore. Lastly, the pumpcar and 15 minute trolly ride are fun! I would leave the trolly ride for last though!

This is one of the most wondrous and really cool places for adults and kids to learn about trolleys in trains and all that great stuff. It's really fun.

My husband and I LOVED our visit to the trolley museum. We just happened upon the town and decided to check it out. We got to explore the indoor museum, a caboose car, rode the original Shelburne Falls trolley with a guided tour, and actually got to drive both pump cars as well! It was so much fun and very interesting for only $4 for an adult day pass. The entire museum is run by knowledgable and friendly volunteers. We are looking forward to our next visit when the museum plans to have three more train cars on display as well as an expanded car house.

This is a place for the young and old to come to. Where you get to see how a railroad/trolley line operated. Located alongside Pan Am Railway's line, it is Soo with the trip. The Federated Trolley Company lasted up into the late 30's. Highly recommend. (The Federated Trolley Company used to have a line that ran through Holden MA all the way into Petersham MA. That is why the mention is there)

Great, great, great staff. Super knowledgeable of both present and past. Super friendly with us as adults and the children as well. We were able to ride and use 3 of the equipment available. Would do this again. Both kids and adults loved it.

We learned a few new facts and out granddaughters loved going on the caboose. The trolley ride was fun and the conducter was great.

Despite being small this museum is quite interesting. A short ride on the restored story gives you a real feel for what it was like. The conductors give an informative presentation with old photos. We enjoyed the visit. The pump car was fun to ride too.

Beautiful spot. Ellie was great at giving the history of the railroad and details about the family who restored the trolley. We learned so much!
